Performance, printed matter

"Don't Bend It, Burn It" was a 4 hour-long performance staged in front of the entrance of the Victoria and Albert Museum in winter 2014. The project is born out of a frustration with the circular and slow museum policies and practices of having meetings to talk about attracting new and different audiences and conducting research, without actually making work of it and going outside of the comfortable museum zone. In an attempt to start the fire and change the game instead of the rules, both visitors and people passing by were asked to participate in putting stickers on various places in and outside London with the message "Don't Bend It, Burn It". Stickers were the first steps of open conversations about museum policies and the public was left free in their decision to place the sticker where they wanted it."
